I can’t stop looking at their earrings.
It’s like
SAFETY PINS
RAZOR BLADES
And fucking cherry tomato
Come on, blue dude.

Ahahaha this episode is all about questionable life choices and Dorkxedo Kamen.
My #1 question before now was, “So is Usagi’s dress translucent then?”
Thanks to this opening, I no longer have that question.
Mamoru similarly no...

It’s
almosttime for the annual melodramatic summary meme.
I’ve spent my entire career obsessively trying to “learn how to draw” when I should’ve just been drawing. Always thinking “I just need to get a little better… and then I’ll start working on (insert any of a hundred personal projects)”
The fact is that i’ve been good enough since my teens- and would’ve improved so much more rapidly had my study been in the service of any of those projects- and not in the dozens of sketchbooks pilled in my closet.
Lesson: Don’t use “learning” as an excuse to avoid “doing”.
This is my favorite part of a silly coloring book page collage I made a little while ago. Thorcat isn’t taking any of your nonsense.
Boo, backgrounds. Been doing some other stuff, so I just decided to finish this in a lazy way so it’s “done.” Better than nothing. B!
Goals are scary.
A little more inspiration. This is basically what I’ve been trying to tell myself every day for the last few months. Little by little is the best way to get where you want to be.
Well, that’s about as far as my knowledge from coloring books will get me. *cracks knuckles* Time for the hard stuff.
More ink texture practice. Still not sure how to make walls look interesting without making them look gross and in need of a good scrubdown.
e1n:
I have no new art, but here’s bunch of wisdom I picked up from Emma Coats (ex-Pixar story artist) on Twitter this morning. I know I could use some of these.
Great thoughts that I should try to remember more often.
Tried to ink a sketch that I actually kind of liked with non-waterproof ink. Completely destroyed image with bleeding lines. Auggggggh.
“The concept of portraying evil and then destroying it - I know this is considered mainstream, but I think it is rotten. This idea that whenever something evil happens someone particular can be blamed and punished for it, in life and in politics, is hopeless.”
