I was trying to get all dramatic and stuff with the claw marks and my brain just goes, “That sure is a lot of blank space. You know what would go well there? A hand print!” Then I drew a hand print and the thumb was too wide so I gave it a beak and feet. And that’s why there’s a turkey hand print on the sign.
Day 12 - Look out a window. Draw what you see. Bonus points for adding something interesting.
More adventures in tube watercoloring (inks here).
This was my first attempt at using tube watercolors… Yeah… you should probably just look at the inks.
Dear future self: If you ever think that you want to ink large areas of black with a nib instead of a brush, don’t. Just don’t.
Day 10 - Draw a BG with 1 point perspective. Negative points if it’s a railroad or an empty street.
Okay, I’m going to stop faffing around and just focus on finishing Improvement Hell within 30 days. Two lists at once was too much.
Day 9 - Draw a landscape of a place you’ve never been or drawn.
From listening to “Hello My Barista”
Day 7 - Put your iPod on shuffle, and play the first song it gives you. Illustrate that song.
Hi, I’m Tori. I’m going through a Grace Kelly phase. I’ll get over it soon.
Day 1 - Self-Portrait - Introduce yourself
So you know how nobody ever finishes 30 day challenges? I’m gonna DOUBLE that.
I’m going to try two of those “30 day drawing improvement” lists at once and see how long manage to I hold out. If you’re gonna fail, fail big.
Day 1 - Paint a BG
I think it says a lot about my overall character as a human being that when I put random ink blots on a paper and they dry, the first thing I see is a dude in a cravat. Like… seriously, subconscious?
